• Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a role playing game for the Playstation 3 developed by Square Enix. It is a follow up to Final Fantasy XIII and will be released in conjunction with Final Fantasy Agito XIII. As part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII compilation.

• Story

  The game focuses on a prince who is the last heir of a dynasty ruling over the only remaining city to control crystals. Due to increasing modernization in contrast to their neighbors, the kingdom has completely isolated themselves from the rest of the world. However, he cannot stay in the shadows forever. Now he must make a stand against marauders seeking to take the crystal as their own. Little else is known about the plot.

• Gameplay

  The main character has a slew of different weapons to choose from, each has their own unique abilities and range from swords to lances to axes. Teaming with the creators of Kingdom Hearts, the gameplay will be a derivation of the Kingdom Hearts games with some third person shooter elements. Nomura, the person in charge of the gameplay, states that the game will carry a much bleaker outlook and that the battle system will be 'tricky' and reminiscent of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children the film. Not much else has been revealed about the gameplay.
