The full cast of characters in Final Fantasy XIII is still unknown. A handful of characters have been revealed through screenshots and trailers, along with some background information. The most prominently featured character is Lightning, a young woman who is an ex-mercenary on a mission against the Cocoon corporation's military.GiantBomb: Lighting Lighting has strawberry blond hair and wields a gun and sword that can manipulate gravity. She appeared in the first trailer for the game, and appears to be the protagonist of the game. Other characters that have appeared since then include Snow Villiers, Oerba Dia Vanille and Sahz Katzroy.
Character Details
Lightning: A redhaired woman who leaves the military to fight an evil corporation. She has a semi-automatic gun and a sword, and can manipulate gravity. Most likely the protagonist of the game, she was designed with the idea of a female version of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII in mind.
Snow Villiers: Lightning's ally in battle, Snow leads the resistance against the Cocoon corporation. He has blond hair, wears a bandanna, rides a motorcycle and carries a large gun.
Oerba dia Vanille: A bashful looking red-haired girl who gets captured by the Cocoon forces. She has a cheery appearance, but Square-Enix says she has a tragic backstory.PS3 Hyper: More Details About Final Fantasy XII Battle System and the Demo
