Fifa Club World Cup UAE 2009 is the sixth edition of FIFA Club World Cup, a football tournament contested annually between Champion clubs from six Continental Confederations and Host association. It took place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates from Dec 9 to 19, 2009. Barcelona won the cup beating Estudiantes de La Plata in the final. Lionel Messi (Barcelona) won the Golden Ball Award.

FIFA Club world cup UAE 2009 is the sixth edition of the tournament. Australia, Japan, Portugal and UAE are the countries which participated in the bids to host the tournament. Despite tough competition from Japan, which hosted the tournament during last four years, UAE won the bid to host the tournament in 2009 & 2010.
