Fifa Club World Cup UAE 2009 is the sixth edition of FIFA Club World Cup, a football tournament contested annually between Champion clubs from six Continental Confederations and Host association. It is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from Dec 9 to 19, 2009.
On November 27, 2009, Club Estudiantes of Argentina and Al Ahli Club of UAE announced their 23-man squad for FIFA Club World Cup 2009. Background
The bidding process for FIFA Club world cup 2009 took place last year when four countries - Australia, Japan, Portugal and UAE - placed their bids. Despite tough competition from Japan, which hosted the tournament during last four years, UAE won the bid to host the tournament in 2009 & 2010.
