  • The two Fiesta Bowl 2010 teams were finalized and announced on December 6, 2009. The bowl match-up will take place between Boise State and Texas Christian University (TCU). The Fiesta Bowl game is scheduled to be played on January 4, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. PST on Fox.


    The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl is one of the four major Bowl Championship Series played annually by U.S. college football teams - along with the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl.


    The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl is a member of the Bowl Championship Series and will host the Big 12 Conference champion and a BCS team yet to be determined. Fiesta Bowl 2010 will take place on January 4, 2009 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

    The first Fiesta Bowl took place back in 1971 at Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University. It began as a means for Western Athletic Conference to gain decent bowl invitations for their champion teams. Over the years, the Fiesta Bowl has transformed into one of the most popular post-season college games.


    The Fiesta Bowl has had three major sponsors during its existence - from 1986 to 1991 Sunkist Citrus Growers sponsored the bowl, from 1993 to 1995 it was supported by IBM OS/2, and since 1996 the game has been sponsored by Frito Lay Tostitos chips.http://fiestabowlhistory.org/
