Car And Driver Review
- Pros: Beauty, power, speed. "The California aims to sate the desires of the ultrarich who crave both open-air and Grand Tourer experiences."
- Cons: Price. The Ferrari California will run roughly $200,000, though as Car And Driver notes "we're going to go ahead and say it'll be worth whatever they ask."Car and Driver: 2009 Ferrari California... (May 2008)
What's In A Name?
The Ferrari California takes its name from the late-1950s Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California. The Spyder California was the last of the dual-purpose open-air Ferraris. Only about 100 were made available, and production ended in 1963, making them a sought-after sports car for collectors. HowStuffWorks: Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California racecar
