Career Highlights
Before turning pro in [[2001] Fernando Torres started his career with Atletico Madrid and he was an amazing talent there. He made his debut for the Spanish national team in 2003 against Portugal.So far Torres has participated in three major football tournaments, UEFA Euro 2004, 2006 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2008. He scored the only and the winning goal for Spain in the UEFA Euro 2008 final against Germany which they won as 1-0.
Fernando Torres was recruited by Liverpool FC in July 4 2007 for £26.5m from Atletico Madrid. He had his debut for Liverpool on July 17, 2007 against Werder Bremen. Torres scored his very first goal for Licerpool FC on August 3, 2007 against Shanghai Shenhua in a friendly match. -
