The Road to Success
Fergie began her career through the help of her supportive yet strict mother. Her first role was voice over work for the animated cartoon Peanuts as the voice of "Lucy" and "Sally" in two different television specials. In 1984, she earned a spot on the Kids Incorporated children's television show. She stayed on the show for six seasons holding the record for the longest running cast member of the show.
Music Career
Her first group, Wild Orchid, was formed in 1991. Their debut self titled album was released on October 29, 1996. The group released a second album titled Oxygen, and their third album Fire was rejected by RCA Records resulting in the group disbanding. She was invited by Will.i.am to audition for Black Eyed Peas in 2003 for a part in the song "Shut Up." Her vocals worked with the group so well they immediately added her to 5 other songs on the album. She remains a member of the popular group alongside her successful solo career.
