Felix Loch was born on July 24, 1989 in Sonneburg, Germany. Loch is an Olympic athlete who will take part in the Olympic men's luge at the 2010 Winter Olympics to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Loch will represent his home country of Germany.
Loch has been a dominant force on the luge circuit the past couple of years. After missing the first three races of the 2008/09 World Cup season due to recovering from torn shoulder ligaments sustained in a crash during International Training Week on the Olympic track at Whistler Sliding Center, Loch came on like gangbusters. Making his Olympic debut at just 20 years of age, Loch showed the world why he is so highly regarded when it comes to the luge.
Loch went over the Whistler Olympic Park course with relative ease, with a combined time for four runs of 3 minutes, 13.085 seconds.
