Felipe Lopez is shortstop for the Arizona Diamondbacks. A native of Puerto Rico, Lopez was voted Florida's player of the year as a high school senior, and was rated as the best defensive high school shortstop by Baseball America. Out of high school, the Toronto Blue Jays selected him with the 8th overall pick in the 1998 amateur draft. He played for the Blue Jays and the Reds before a trade sent him to the Nationals in 2006.
