Russian-born Fedor Emelianenko is the world heavyweight champion in mixed martial arts. Emelianenko is known for his ability to force submissions and his ability to escape from seemingly devastating pins. With the fading in importance of American boxing and the rise in importance of mixed martial arts as a determinant of the world's best fighter, many experts believe that Emelianenko may be the best fighter on Earth. In late March 2008, Emelianenko made news when he sued the Korean Sambo Federation and Korean Apiculture Association for using his likeness in a commercial advertising honey without his approval.
