FEAR 2 Project Origin Achievements

This page contains a listing of achievements for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin on the Xbox 360. Horror Influences

The FEAR series is remarkable for its horror elements, embodied in the figure of its primary antagonist, the sinister girl Alma. Developer Monolith's portrayal of Alma clearly drew from sources like Japanese horror films such as The Ring, with their depiction of figures of innocence made twisted and dangerous.

For FEAR 2, Monolith has explained that it's widening its range of influences in the creation of the game's horror elements. The team is drawing from Eastern European horror films like Nightwatch and Daywatch as well as the American horror franchise Saw in attempts to make "mature" the horror experience of the game.Gameplanet: FEAR 2 Q&A Session (February 4, 2009) Furthermore, Monolith is aiming to make the interactions between Alma and the protagonist more "intimate" by having Alma more directly involved with the player.
