The FBR Open is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It takes place annually at the TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona. Background
The FBR Open was originally known as the Arizona Open and was founded in 1932. The first winner was Ralph Guldahl. The tournament was renamed the Phoenix Open in 1935 and this name remained until 1957, except for 1950, when it was renamed the Ben Hogan Open. From 1957 through 1971, the tournament was known as the Phoenix Invitational. It readopted the Phoenix Open name in 1972.
