Reviews
"Experienced as a piece of music, “Favorite Recorded Scream” offers a riveting if unsettling tour through decades of popular music. Buddy Holly’s carefree whoop in “Oh Boy!” goes right into James Brown’s sensual falsetto in “The Payback,” and the Swedish metal band Meshuggah is not far behind with the guttural cry of “I.” Throughout, favorites like the Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again” repeat at somewhat regular intervals, as if cleansing the scream-palate with a spritz of familiarity."—Ben Sisario; The New York Timeshttp://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/18/arts/music/18scream.html

The following excerpt can be found on the album cover of Favorite Recorded Scream. A poster featuring the participants' questionnaires are also included with the album.
"Between October 2008 and March 2009, I visited every record store in Manhattan and asked the employees for their favorite scream from recorded music. Side one of this record is a compilation of the screams; one from each song, edited together and arranged in the order they were submitted. Side two follows the same order as side one, but has ten second spaces between each of the audio tracks."http://leroystevens.info/index.php?/projects/favorite-recorded-scream/
