Bary was placed in foster care in Florida, but was expected to be returned to Ohio, who has jurisdiction of her case following a hearing on August 21, 2009. She claims she will be killed for leaving her Muslim faith if returned to her home. Rifqa's parents knew of her change in faith one year ago but they didn't threaten her or abuse her. This whole talk of honor killing came up after she ran away. For more info visit http://letthetruthbeknownnow.blogspot.com/
