  • Father's Day is an annual holiday that celebrates fathers, grandfathers, and all things associated with fatherhood. Father's Day typically includes gift-giving and dinners in honor of fathers. The day is a day where fathers usually spend time with their children. Some celebrate playing a father and son game of golf, or a father and son outing, whereas others celebrate a day doing any sort of activity with their father.

    On July 5, 1908, the first celebration of Father's Day was held in West Virginia. In 1924, President Calvin Coolidge officially instituted the first and hence forth annual Father's Day.
