The Austarlian Catholic priest Father Peter Dresser published a book where he claims that Jesus Christ is not God and that the Virgin Mary wasn't a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus. Father Anthony Robbie of Sydney objected, saying that these theses empty the Christian faith of its meaning. According to Dresser, "no human being can ever be God, and Jesus was a human being.
