About Drew Curtis
Drew Curtis is the founder of Fark and author of It's Not News, It's FARK: How Mass Media Tries to Pass off Crap as News. He registered the Fark.com domain in 1997 although didn't start posting news stories until 1999. The site quickly become a popular link dump for sites on the Internet. Fark was one of the first independent blogs to earn one million dollars in yearly profit. Business 2.0: Blogging for Dollars Despite Fark's success, Curtis only takes a $60,000 yearly salary. He says the rest goes to expenses and the Fark legal 'war chest'. NPR: Fark.com: Making Money Off of Goofy News
