Farah Khan was born into the world of film. Both her uncles and aunt were child actors. However, she had ambitions to work on the choreography side of the industry.She has choreographed a large number of Indian films and has also worked on international productions such as Monsoon Wedding, Bombay Dreams, and Vanity Fair.
In 2004 she married editor Shrish Kunder and made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na. She directed her second film, Om Shanti Om, in 2007. Both films starred Shahrukh Khan and both were big box office hits.
