  • Far Cry 2 takes place in a fictional African state embroiled in conflict. The player character is tasked with hunting down an unscrupulous arms dealer who is providing weapons to both factions.

  • The Setting

    In order to research and create a realistic setting for the game, members of the Far Cry 2 development team traveled to Kenya where they encountered elephants, hippos, hyenas and lions. On their two-week trip, the team was able to study African architecture, vegetation and wildlife. They experienced savannah, jungle and desert environments.
