• Map Editor included with game
    • Can be used to construct custom large-scale environments
    • PC version will be more complex
    • Streamlined for ease of use and accessibility
    • Limited to pre-frabricated objects and included art assets
  • Far Cry 2’s Map Editor will come included with the game when it releases on October 21, 2008. Similar to Halo 3’s Forge, players will be able to use it to construct their own levels and share them with the rest of the community. A memory space limit will be imposed on the console versions to ensure quick and easy downloading; these restrictions, however, do not apply to the PC, which will feature a more complex editor.

The tool gives players the ability to shape the land as they see fit, build original architecture using in-game objects, set the time of day and place numerous objects all over the area. However, because of the development team’s commitment to ease of use, players will be imited to using game assets and pre-fabricated objects.
