Fanny is a romantic drama written by Julius J. Epstein and directed by Joshua Logan. It is based off of a screenplay and musical written by S.N. Behrman and was released on June 28, 1961. The movie is about the couple Marius (Horst Buchholz) and Fanny (Leslie Caron). They are in love, but Marius dreams about a life as a sailor and must choose between Fanny and his dream.
Plot Synopsis
Fanny tells the story of Marius and Fanny, played by Horst Buchholz and Leslie Caron. Marius and Fanny fall in love and Marius must decide if he wants to stay with Fanny and give up his dream of a life at sea. Panisse, played by Maurice Chevalier, who is married to Fanny, is dying and on his deathbed wishes Marius and Fanny the best, hoping they will get married. Charles Boyer, Salvatore Baccaloni and Lionel Jeffries co-star.
