Massachusetts woman Fang Chi Xue killed her nine-year-old daughter and stabbed herself in the abdomen, which resulted in the death of her fetus in April of 2009. She was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of assault with the intent to kill. In the same incident, she attempted to strangle her 14-year-old daughter, who managed to escape. According to reports, Chi Xue attempted to terminate the pregnancy in February of 2009 by drinking poison. The incident did not harm the fetus, but Chi Xue received a visit from the Department of Children and Families.
