Fanesca is a thick and creamy Ecuadorean bisque type soup consisting of figleaf gourd , pumpkin, salt Cod, boiled eggs, fried plantains, and twelve different kinds of grains, which are meant to represent the disciples of Jesus. This soup is served throughout the week before Easter
