The Pitt is the second downloadable expansion for Fallout 3. It takes place in the destroyed city of Pittsburgh, an area controlled by raiders.
Problems in The Pitt
The Pitt was initially released on March 24, 2009 on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live. However, warnings have been posted to many of the gaming blogs and communities that it is experiencing quite a few widespread bugs, e.g., giant floating exclamation marks, glitchy graphics, missing textures, complete game freeze. The general consensus is to avoid downloading (especially the Xbox 360 version) until these issues have been resolved.ComputerandVideoGames.com: First details on Fallout 3: The Pitt (February 13, 2009) Destructoid: Fallout 3's 'The Pitt' is broken as buggery, claim gamers (March 24, 2009)

Story
Set in a fictional post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh, the story centers around two factions: the slavers and the slaves. The player will be able to choose which side to help. There will not be any right or wrong way to play through the expansion. Developer Bethesda has said that Pittsburgh will look even grittier than the Wasteland did in the main game.MTV Multiplayer Blog: Bethesda Answers Your Fallout 3 DLC Pitt Questions
Gameplay
Unlike Fallout 3 Operation Anchorage, the previous DLC released for Fallout 3, The Pitt is much less linear and will offer players multiple ways to experience the gameplay. Although combat is involved, developer Bethesda says this DLC will feel much more in line with the gameplay in the primary Fallout 3 game. Besides a new story, The Pitt will also feature new weapons, including Auto-Axe, which is pictured to the right.MTV Multiplayer Blog: Bethesda Answers Your Fallout 3 DLC Pitt Questions
