During the Microsoft press conference held at E3 2008, Todd Howard, game director for Bethesda Game Studios, presented a gameplay demo for Fallout 3. The game is intended for play in first-person point of view, but a third-person mode is also available.Fallout.com: Fallout 3 Overview Combat offers gameplay in real-time or using the V.A.T.S. system, which will be familiar to fans of the previous Fallout titles. Fallout 3 does not have a multiplayer mode.
To conclude the presentation, Howard announced there will be downloadable content for Fallout 3 exclusive to Xbox 360 and Games for Windows.
