"Falling Slowly" is the Oscar Award-winning song from the Irish film Once.
The song was written and performed by Glen Hansard of The Frames and Marketa Irglova.
Different versions of the song appeared on The Frames album The Cost and Hansard and Irglova's The Swell Season. As a result, the song's eligibility for the Best Original Song Oscar was momentarily thrown into question shortly following its nomination.
