History
In 1942, Fairleigh was founded by Dr. Peter Sammartino and his wife, Sylvia. Over the years it has grown into the largest private university in New Jersey and the only one to offer instruction in all 21 counties in the state.FDU: History
The Campus
Fairleigh has two main campuses: the Metropolitan campus, which spans the Hackensack River and the College at Florham, which is known as Fairleigh Dickinson University Madison. It also has two satellite campuses: Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver in Canada and Wroxton College in England.
