Mark Zuckerberg may have suggested during the Web 2.0 Summit that Facebook is considering aquiring Twitter. During an interview with John Battelle of Federated Media, Zuckerberg did not directly answer questions about whether Twitter is just a feature of Facebook, and did not contradict suggestions that Facebook might be looking to purchase Twitter.

- According to CNET, Batelle asked if Facebook CEO Gideon Yu had a "build or buy" spreadsheet on the wall of his office, implying that Facebook could acquire Twitter in order to enhance their own update service.
