Face Raiders is a first person shooting game.  It was developed and published by Nintendo and is packed in with the Nintendo 3DS.  The game came out in Japan on February 26, 2011, in Europe on March 25, 2011, in the United States on March 27, 2011, and in Australia on March 31, 2011. The software takes advantage of the many features that were built in with the system, including the 3D camera and the gyroscope.  This walkthrough will serve as a general guide on how the game works.

As stated before, Face Raiders is like a first person shooter.  Before the game starts, the game will prompt you into take some pictures.  It will want you to take multiple photos of actual faces, whether it is from a real person or someone from a photograph.  The faces you capture will then be integrated into the game as characters you can interact with.  The characters will interact with the environment around you and you must shoot them down by moving the system, which is where the use of the gyroscope comes from.  The game itself has nine different levels across two different modes.  Six of the levels are part of the main mode of play, where you must shoot down the faces that appear around you before you get into a boss battle.  The other three levels are part of the Show a Friend mode which is easily used to present the game to others.  Another feature of this game is Surprise Snaps.  If this feature is turned on, the game will randomly take pictures of people around you during game play.  There are also moments when the game can grab random photos from the internal storage, assuming that faces are present on them.

1. This is the tutorial stage.  You will be prompted to play this stage the first time you start up the game.
   
2. Once you take the photo, the level will begin.  This level will have you facing off against enemy versions of your face as they break through your environment and try to attack you.
3. Locations of the enemies are indicated by arrows that appear at the sides.  Move your system towards those sides to find them.  Then shoot them in the face.  If you hit the mouth you will get a bonus.
4. If you can shoot consecutive faces without missing, you will get bonus points.
5. At the end of the level, you will have to face off against a boss version of your face.  Its movements are not that different from the regular enemies so fire at it.
6. Once the boss gets weak, shoot the jewel in the head and it will fall.
7. You will be asked to make a photo of yourself.  Align your face with the frame so that your eyes and mouth are behind the dots and line.  Then make the photo.

1. In this stage, you will face off against faces that will bounce upwards when you shoot them.  Hit them five times to defeat them.
   
2. This is mainly a score attack stage.  You will not lose anything if you miss a face and the stage will end itself when the timer reaches zero.

1. This stage is unlocked if you collect three faces through any of the Show a Friend stages.
   
2. In this stage, you will immediately face the double-faced boss from the second stage.  The strategy from the previous fight with that boss still applies.
