Fabricio Oberto is an Argentine basketball player with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs. In October of 2008, Oberto was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat.
Basketball Career
Oberto began playing with Argentina in 1995, winning several tournaments and the 2004 Olympic gold medal. Oberto came to the NBA in 2005 and signed with the San Antonio Spurs where teammate Manu Ginobili also plays. Although he was not much of a factor in his first year with the Spurs, he took on a more productive roll the following year. He increased his playing time and point totals and even started several games. Oberto was a key factor to the Spurs' championship run in 2007.
