Fable 2 Renown
In Fable 2, Renown gauges your popularity and standing among people. It roughly corresponds to how well your hero's name is known in Albion, based on the deeds you've accomplished in the form of quests or otherwise. Displaying Trophies to people grants a small amount of Renown. High Renown is needed to unlock certain quests and areas - the first main quest to find the Hero of Strength requires you to get your Renown to a certain level. Renown is not contingent on your moral standing - you can be completely good or evil and still have low or low Renown. Renown also boosts your popularity with the opposite sex, and makes it easier to get them to like you.
