At the Game Developers Conference in February 2008, Peter Molyneux announced Fable 2 pub games, downloadable via the [Xbox Live Arcade.Xbox 360 Fanboy: GDC08: Fable 2 co-op and XBLA tie-in revealed (February 20, 2008) Money earned in the games can be transferred for use in Fable 2 as in-game currency. They will be available for play in August 2008, allowing players to pad their coffers in preparation for the release of Fable 2 in October 2008.
Those who pre-order a copy of Fable 2 gain free access to the pub games, which otherwise cost 800 Microsoft Points. A purchase via Xbox Live is not required for owners of either the standard or limited edition releases of Fable 2.Lionhead.com: Fable II's Limited Collector's Edition (July 7, 2008)
