  • The Journey Begins - Chapter Three

    1. When you do kill Thag, go into his hut and check the chest to find some items and Thag's Cage Key.
    2. You can free the slaves for good points, or give the key to Dick for evil points. Be sure to heal your pooch with a Dog Elixir(he sustained damage from Thag's kick), and he'll find a dig spot on the way out of Thag's camp back to Bowerstone.
    3. NOTE: If you do free the slaves, you'll have to kill Dick, but he's not that difficult to take down.
    4. There's a chest inside of a rock projection on a hill as you head back to Bowerstone - look inside to find Dog Tricks! The Bunny Hop, which is another expression your dog can use. Head down the now-open road into Bowerstone.

  • III. Bowerstone Market

    1. Once you arrive, you'll meet a local bard named Roland, who'll follow you around and pepper you with inane information. Just ignore him, and head across the bridge. your dog will find some treasure(provided you've been treating him well) down the left-hand stairs as you cross the bridge, behind a tall stack of crate.
    2. Directly across the bridge, in the center of the square, is where you're to meet Theresa, but she isn't there - she lets you know that she'll be late, and a timer will appear on-screen.
    3. Wait out the timer doing useful things like upgrading your equipment. Right now is a great time to try your hand at Blacksmithing to earn some cash, and buy up the smaller shops set up in town to start an income flow.
    4. When Theresa appears, go and talk to her by standing in the glowing circle. She'll ask you to follow her - do so.
    • CUTSCENE: Theresa explains a bit about the Spire, and why Lucien is there.
    1. Theresa will tell you that you're to find an abbot in Oakfield. To get there, follow the glowing trail out of Bowerstone into Rockridge.

  • III. Rookridge

    1. Follow the glowing trail, and you'll run into a man named Craig who tells you that bandits have overturned his wagon. He'll disappear, so keep moving forward. Another man named Adam will be stealing the loot from the bodies scattered around the wagon, though he didn't actually kill anyone.
    2. You can kill Adam for evil points, but leaving him be won't get you any good points. Grab the stuff laying around, and keep moving until Theresa tells you to wait. She'll point out that running forward will leave you outnumbered, and suggests you use your gun to take them out.
    3. After you clean up the area, follow the glowing trail until you reach a steep incline slope - at the top of this slope you'll fight some more bandits, so be ready for some offense. When they fall, keep moving down, grabbing the contents of the chest on your left as you move forward.
    4. Stay to your left and you'll find another path leading to a statue that's hiding a Silver Key behind it. Collect the key, then follow the glowing trail.
    5. Theresa will give you another message reminding you about how useful your gun is, so whip it out and take out the bandits in the camp ahead of you. This is far easier if you have level 2 Dexterous Styles, which you should be able to afford by now. Raid the camp, break the boxes and crates, and grab the contents of the treasure chest here.
    6. NOTE: Your dog will also find a dig spot here, depending on how you've treated him.
    7. Follow the glowing trail, and you'll reach a bridge that's out, with bandits on the other side. Follow their advice and dive off the bridge, swimming to the beach the glowing trail leads to. A man named Herman will run out, telling you that he wants you to enter the Hobbe Cave to help him save his son.

  • III. Hobbe Cave

    1. As you enter the cave, there's a dive spot to the right. Swim out to it and press A when prompted to recover some treasure.
    2. Follow the glowing trail into the cave past some remains, and you'll run across some Hobbes - these are mere cannon fodder, and you'll be able to defeat them easily.
    3. Past these Hobbes, in the corner of this area, is a dig spot - your dog will point it out if you've been nice to him. Keep following the glowing trail and keep an eye to the left where you can make some vaults to reach a chest. Continue moving up the walkways.
    4. Eventually, Herman will hear his son Joey, and run off - give chase, but stop to fight the Hobbes that appear by bursting out of crates and barrels. When you've defeated them, follow the trail to find Herman standing at a locked door. He'll tell you to find another way around the door.
    5. Your dog will have a "quest" icon appear over him, and will lead you past the locked door - follow him into a room with hanging meat, and bust through the barricaded doorway. Herman will scream from his location, so follow the glowing trail - you'll find Herman dying, claiming his son has been transformed into a Hobbe. Kill the Hobbe that's nearby, and Theresa will suggest you leave the cave quickly.
    6. Take Theresa at her word and follow the glowing trail into a large cavern filled with groups of Hobbes - some of them carry bombs and will kamikaze run you, so use your ranged attacks to keep them far away. Follow the trail until you spot a path on the left to jump down to reach a treasure chest. Backtrack back up to that area, and head into the next area to find a ladder back to Rookridge.

  • III. Rookridge

    1. You'll be on the main road to Rookridge, behind the bandits that told you to jump off the bridge. Take them out, then head back to the building you came from to find another Silver Key. Follow the glowing trail up the hill and keep your eyes open for a chest on the right behind some boxes.
    2. Follow the trail and you'll soon see Oakfield.

  • III. Oakfield

    1. Follow the glowing trail, working your way to the West side of the town. Theresa will tell you about the abbot and his acorns, and once she finishes, Beetles will appear. Cut them down, and continue moving.
    2. As you move along the lake, you can spot a Silver Key to your left. Grab it, and keep moving up the hill to a temple.
