Fable 2 Walkthrough
- Pick your gender, and prepare yourself.
- NOTE: Due to the "Childhood" section being entirely in Bowerstone Old Town, quests are written as subsections. In all other parts of this walkthrough, all quests are their own section, with the regions visited as subsections. Also, the player's Hero will be referred to as "Sparrow", the default Title.
Childhood - Chapter One
- This section of the walkthrough pertains to the Childhood part of the main quest.

- CUTSCENE: A bird flies through the countryside, finally roosting on a building just long enough to splat the young Sparrow on his head.
I. Bowerstone Old Town

- You start as a poor street urchin. When your sister Rose hears a rabble, she'll take off - follow her, using the glowing trail as a guide of where to go.
- When you arrive at the scene, the merchant Murgo will try to sell off some wares, claiming one to be a magical box - Rose protests, and a mysterious woman named Theresa talks her into finding out about the box. You need to get five gold coins to purchase the box, so it's time to get cracking on some odd-jobs.
Albion's Most Wanted
- Go and talk to Derek and accept his quest to find his warrants - you'll be finding them soon enough.
Barnum's Image Capturing Device
- Head over to Barnum's and accept his offer to pose for a picture. If you use a positive reaction, you'll make his day and gain good points - a negative one, however, will ruin his picture and get you evil points. Either way, you'll get a Gold Coin(1/5).
- Head down the alley, following the glowing trail, and Rose will see a kid named Rex attacking a poor dog. She tries to stop him, getting head butted in the process, so pull out your sword(X) and whack him a bit to make him run off. Your sis will get up, and you'll get your first look at your soon-to-be future companion.
The Beetle Hunt
- Follow the glowing trail to Balthazar, grabbing the Warrant(1/5) on the way. Talk to Balthazar and accept his quest to kill the beetles in his storehouse. Once you enter, Arfur shows up and tells you to smash his stock instead - do what you like, but the repercussions are obvious, and either way will get you a Gold Coin(2/5).
- After you come out of Balthazar's storehouse, check by the stairs that lead up to him to find another Warrant(2/5). Head towards the dog, which is near a bickering couple, to find another Warrant(3/5) underneath him, and across from him, another Warrant(4/5).
Tramp's Treasure
- Talk to the bickering couple to find out that their names are Pete and Betty - Pete wants his hooch, but Betty doesn't want him to have it. Accept the quest, and walk back towards the stairs to Balthazar - keep going straight and you'll spot the sleeping Magpie, who stole Pete's bottle. Grab it, and take it back to either Betty for good, or Pete for evil. Either way, you'll get a Gold Coin(3/5), and a Warrant(5/5).
Albion's Most Wanted, Continued
- Head back to Derek to turn in the warrants - Arfur will stop you and make a proposition; give him the warrants, and he'll give you a gold coin. It's your choice, but either way will give you a Gold Coin(4/5).
The Love Letter
- Now go and talk to Monty, the guy staring at the woman on the balcony.
- Monty is hopelessly in love with Belinda, but her mother Deirdre doesn't like him. He wants you to deliver a letter to Belinda for him, so accept his quest. Go to the house he was standing in front of and press A to knock on the door - Deirdre answers it. You can give the letter to Belinda for good points, or to Deirdre for bad points - you'll get your last Gold Coin(5/5) and can purchase the box either way.
- Head back to Murgo and purchase the music box from him, then follow the glowing trail and use the music box when prompted.
- CUTSCENE: After making a wish, Rose and young Sparrow are disappointed when nothing seems to happen - the box disappears, and they remain in the city.
- Follow your sister back to your little shack - the dog is there, waiting for you. Use the bed to go to sleep - there's nothing else you can do today.
I. Castle Fairfax

- CUTSCENE: In the middle of the night, a worker of Lord Lucien's named Nick comes to collect young Sparrow and Rose, and take them to see Lord Lucien in the Castle Fairfax.
- Follow the glowing trail to the group of guards and accept the offer to go to Castle Fairfax. When you arrive, follow Jeeves to the castle's study to meet Lucien, who'll ask you and your sister to stand in a stone circle - do so.
- The stone will begin glowing with a blue light, and Lucien will try to touch it - it rejects him, however, and after making some mention that the both of you are from the fourth Hero, he shoots your sister, and takes aim at you.
