Knothole Island is the name the new downloadable expansion for Fable 2, the role-playing game available exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Knothole Island is a brand new continent for players to explore, featuring new items, quests, enemies and more. Originally scheduled for release on December 12, Knothole Island has been delayed twice. It is now scheduled for release sometime in "late January 2009". Knothole Island will be available in two versions. Both free and premium downloaders will receive Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a Weight Loss Potion, acollectible silver book and other goodies. There are three new important citizens on Knothole Island. The first is the Chieftain, a self-important blowhard who takes credit for all of your heroic deeds but is quick to blame others when things go wrong. Fond of big words, the Chieftain's not the most admirable person on Knothole.

Jessica is one of the few people who stands up to the Chieftain. She owns the Box of Secrets shop, where explorers go to purchase some of the treasures she has collected throughout her life.

Finally, the Inventor is a shy man who is sent from Knothole to the mainland in search of the Hero. The citizens of Knothole need help to discover what's turning their home into a barren and frozen land. A lifelong citizen of the isolated island, the Inventor is bowled over when he comes to Bowerstone and sees its bridges and buildings.
