F-Zero X is a racing game that is based in the future. This is the third installment of the F-Zero series and was released for both the Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Wii virtual console. This game was also the first and only game in the series at the time to feature online multiplayer and Nintendo's first also. The game is best played with the Nintendo 64's expansion pack, which adds force feedback to the game. F-Zero X has a very high learning curve, because of the speed at which the game runs.
Gameplay
In the game, you are placed into a hovercar to race other opponents on the track and win the game. Each of these hovercars is powered by plasma. Similar to other racing games, F-Zero X features variously configured tracks that contain loops, sharp turns, sudden stops, and various other things to make the game more challenging. Unique to this game though is the ability to attack other racers so you can knock them out of the game, using a spin or side attack. There are five different game modes in this game, each featuring different ways to win and that add various challenges in order to win the game. There are also three different difficulty levels (Novice, Standard and Expert), which add even more complexity to the game because they will limit the amount of times you can retry certain things and will reduce the amount of mistakes that the computer makes.
