    Eyeliner is one of those products that you want to pay a little more to get a higher quality product. They can last quite some time so they are not that expensive in the long run.

    The most common color is black but there are a variety of more subtle shades of brown and variety of other colors as well.

    Most come in either the pencil or liquid form. The pencil is lighter in color and usually can be applied to both top and bottom lid. Liquid eyeliner is heavier and has a more dramatic look. Liquid eyeliner is usually only applied to the upper lid. Other less common types include powdered, cream and mechanical eyeliner.

  • Application

    Use a table to steady your hand and apply the eyeliner to your half closed lid in small connected dashes.

    If you are using a liquid liner start by putting three small dots on your upper eyelid right along the lashes. With a pencil eyeliner connect the dots with a smooth motion. As you get better with the liquid eyeliner you can stop using the pencil to connect the dots and just apply the liquid eyeliner in a line.
