Eyeglasses

  • Eyeglasses are a pair of plastic lenses set within a plastic or metal frame and worn over the eyes. They are most commonly worn to correct vision but can be worn for fashion as well.

Some glasses have built in UV protection to protect the eyes from UV rays.
  • Cleaning

To clean your glasses, wash them with a mild soap and water to remove dirt and oils and dry with a lens cloth. Do not use paper towels as they can scratch glasses.

  • Adjusting

Adjusting glasses varies depending on the material and the structure of the glasses. To adjust glasses apply an even force to gently bend the piece you are adjusting. If you feel unsure about adjusting your own glasses or feel that they may break bring them in to an ophthalmologists office and have them adjusted there.

The ear piece which sits above and bends behind the ear can sometimes bend to far in and cause discomfort. If the ear piece is too tight take it in your hand and bend it out. Do the same for the other side so that the frames will sit balanced.

The nose pads control how high your glasses sit on your nose. To make your glasses sit higher take the nose pads and bend them in symmetrically. To make them sit lower take the nose pads and bend them out. Be sure that the two sides match or the glasses will not sit balanced on your nose.
