  • Often referred to as the "lazy man's Persian," the Exotic Shorthair is similar in appearance and temperament to the Persian, but is bred specifically to have a short, dense coat that does not require the same constant maintenance as that of a Persian.
  • Physical Appearance

    The body of the Exotic Shorthair is sturdy, compact and muscular. They have large, round heads and eyes, short snubbed noses, full cheeks and rounded ears.
  • Temperament

    Like Persians, Exotic Shorthairs make excellent lap cats, as they are easygoing and affectionate, but slightly more active than their Persian ancestors. They get along well with most people and other animals, are extremely loyal and crave regular attention from their owners.
