  • About the Game

Fans of 2006's off-road Wii racing game, Excite Truck, should be pleased with Monster Games' next title in the Excite series. Excitebots: Trick Racing shares many gameplay features with its predecessor. However, this time around, players will control a variety of bots in the form of bugs and animals that can transform during races to give them an advantage.

Each bot has a different weight, grip and boost power. For example, the turtle is heavy with a long-lasting turbo boost. The bat is very lightweight with a lot of turbo power that makes it really soar for long periods of time. At the beginning of the game, there are sixbots to choose from: frog, beetle, ladybug, bat, turtle and grasshopper. As players progress, they will be able to unlock additional bots like the hummingbird, mouse and matis, as well as some other goodies. Each vehicles has four stock colors, seven unlockable colors and a special design. This adds greatly to the game's retail value for anybody who wants to unlock everything.IGN: Excitebots: Trick Racing Hands-on (March 20, 2009)
