About the Game
Excitebots: Trick Racing shares many gameplay features with Excite Truck, the off-road racing game released by Monster Games for the Wii in 2006. This time around, players will drive a variety of bots in the form of insects and animals that can transform during races to give them an advantage. For example, each bot has an arm that can be used to grab onto bars or hold onto items like a hammer, which can be used to bash other bots.GamePro: Excitebots: Trick Racing: vehicles with arms and legs (April 16, 2009)Players start out with six different bots—frog, beetle, ladybug, bat, turtle, grasshopper—each with four stock colors and seven unlockable colors. As players progress through the game, they earn stars, which can be used to unlock additional bots, such as the hummingbird, mouse and matis. Each bot has a different weight, grip, turbo power and turbo length. The turtle, for example, is heavy with low grip and a long-lasting turbo.
