Evolution of Dance is a video that was originally posted on YouTube in 2006 by motivational speaker Judson Laipply. Since he posted it, it has achieved a large degree of viral buzz and has become the third most viewed video on the user-generated video website.
The video itself is a six-minute sketch from Laipply's comedy show entitled Inspirational Comedy. In the sketch, Laipply, who wears jeans and an Orange Crush t-shirt, dances to a medley of well known songs from 28 artists, such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Eminem. The sketch is devoid of dialogue and derives its entertainment value in Laipply's dance routine as he transitions from song to song.
On January 9, 2009, Laipply released a sequel to his Evolution of Dance video. It was named Evolution of Dance 2. The routine has a new set of songs by artists, such as James Brown and Soulja Boy.
