Everything But The Girl is the British duo of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt. The band formed in the early 80s and released nine studio albums - the last of which, Temperamental, was released in 1999.
The band Everything But The Girl started out as a lite-jazz and pop duo in the early 80s and had a U.K. hit with a samba interpretation of Cole Porter's "Night and Day." It was their 1994 collaboration with trip-hop innovators Massive Attack and a remix of their tune "Missing" by producer Todd Terry that would push their sound into the realm of ectronica and their albums Walking Wounded and Tempermental to the top of the charts.
Since the release of Tempermental, Watt has gained considerable acclaim as a dance music producer, having toured as a solo DJ and produced Beth Orton's critically successful album Stars All Seem To Weep. You will find links and news about Everything But The Girl on this page.
