Story
In the fictional world of Norrath, it is five hundred years after The Planes of Power. The gods have withdrawn and the moon, Lucin, has shattered with only a few pieces remaining in the sky. All contact with any other continents has been demolished. It is the Age of Destiny and Queen Antonia Bayle of Qeynos is a sorceress who needs help to rebuild her city, but the evil Lucen D'Lere wants to rule Norrath.Gameplay
In EverQuest II, the player selects a character, race and class. Each race has special abilities, from spell casting to melee combat skills. When the game starts, the player lands in one of five tutorial areas and then moves to one of five cities. If they choose, the player can travel through the city by way of griffon, horse, or rhino, finding their way through the Shattered Lands, exploring the world, completing missions, and killing enemies along the way. The more the player explores, the more experience and treasure they will acquire. The player can build items to use during gameplay by a tradeskill system. The character will converse with other players, create guilds and gain experience and levels by completing guild missions, tasks called "writs," and destroy monsters. By completing higher guild levels, the player will open up special rewards not available to non-guilded players. Completing these tasks reduces the cost of apparel, housing and special titles.-
