EVE Online is a persistent massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in space. It is available on PC, Mac and Linux platforms (Mac and linux through emulation).

Players pilot customizable ships through a universe, made of over five thousand solar systems. Each solar system contains a mixture of moons, planets, stations, asteroid belts and complexes and is connected to another via stargates. In total there are 64 regions, with different objectives in each. Players advance by earning skill points by training a specific skill over time. Each skill has five levels, each of which requires a different amount of time to complete based on player attributes and how many skill points a skill level requires.

The currency throughout EVE Online is called Inter Stellar Kredit (ISK). The currency can be used to barter for items with other players, used for the in-game market system, place and accept contracts between players for assets and services or use a Loyalty Points store.
