    Eve Ensler is a feminist activist as well as the playwright who wrote The Vagina Monologues. She is also known for her strong activism to end violence against women and young girls.

    The Vagina Monologues]' started out in the U.S. in 1996 but has since extended to an international base and is now available in 45 languages.

    In 2006, she released Insecure At Last: Losing It In Our Security-Obsessed World, which is a non-fiction book.
