Evan Almighty

The sequel to the Jim Carrey comedy, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty stars Steve Carell as Evan Baxter, a man who has been chosen by God, played by Morgan Freeman to build an ark.

Carell revives his Bruce Almighty character as the TV news host Evan Baxter. Evan leaves New York and moves his family to Virginia. Running on a platform to "Change the World", Evan is elected to Congress. Just when he thinks everything is going his way, strange things start happening all around him. Animals begin following him everywhere he goes, and the ordinarily obsessively groomed Evan begins to grow hair rapidly, a full beard in minutes. He finds tools and lumber delivered to his home, as well as empty lots in his neighborhood purchased in his name. It all comes clear when one day he gots a visit from God, who instructs him if he really wants to change the world, he needs to build an ark and prepare the world for the flood.
