French actress and model Eva Green made her film debut in the 2003 Bernardo Bertolucci film The Dreamers. She has since appeared in the fantasy epic The Golden Compass and as James Bond's love interest, Vesper Lynd, in Casino Royale.
Career Background
Green studied acting, first in Paris and then at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. She then began working in the theater in Paris, where she was discovered by Italian director Bertolucci. Their film collaboration, The Dreamers, was controversial upon its 2003 release because of Green's many nude scenes, some of them featuring an incestuous brother-sister relationship. She followed this up with the Ridley Scott Crusades epic Kingdom of Heaven, and then the role of Lynd in Casino Royale. She was named by Entertainment Weekly magazine as the all-time Fourth Best Bond Girl.
Green has also worked as a model, heading up a campaign for Georgio Armani
