The New York City born, Brunette is the daughter of Academy Award winning actress Susan Sarandon and Italian Director Franco Amurri.

Her acting career started with small roles in films such as Bob Roberts directed by Tim Robbins and Dead Man Walking starring Sean Penn.

She was later able to land some high profile roles such as the comedy The Banger Sisters, where she ironically played the daughter of a character played by Susan Sarandon, and in the indie hit comedy Saved starring Jena Malone and Mandy Moore.

In 2008, she can be seen the film The Life Before Her Eyes starring Evan Rachel Wood and Uma Thurman.
