The European Grand Prix is an annual Formula One race which is held at the Valencia Street Circuit in Valencia, Spain. Background
The European Grand Prix was first held in 1983. It was replaced in 1986 by the Hungarian Grand Prix and was not held again until 1993. Nurburgring, Germany hosted the event the most out of the four locations the race has been held.http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2004/5/1631.html Felipe Massa won the event in 2008 and Rubens Barrichello won in 2009, both held at Valencia. European Grand Prix 2010 Recap
Sebastian Vettel of the Red Bull team had the pole position and won the race over McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. Vettel moved to third in the Formula One standings with his victory but Hamilton maintained the overall points lead. Hamilton's teammate, Jenson Button finished third. Vettel's teammate Mark Weber crashed with Heikki Kovalainen. Weber's car flipped upside down and crashed into the wall after it hit Kovalainen’s car. Weber walked away from the accident uninjured. Rubens Barrichello of Williams was fourth and Robert Kubica of Renault and Adrian Sutil of Force India.
